VOICE: Independent Living Center’s Veteran Directed Care Program

Veterans’ Options for Independence, Choice and Empowerment

In partnership with the Alaska Veterans Administration Healthcare System, ILC’s VOICE program offers Veterans flexible and community-based services which enable Veterans to remain in their homes and communities, guiding their own care.

You are in charge!

  • Control your own budget
  • Choose who you hire and what you will pay them
  • Choose when and how your services are provided
  • Oversee work schedules and timesheet approval
  • Designate an Authorized Representative if you need assistance

Eligibility:

  • Must be enrolled in VA Health Care
  • Must have a VA approved Primary Care Provider
  • Must have hands-on-care needs
  • Use your budget to live safely in your home.
