Who We Are: Independent Living Center (ILC) is a leader in the disability advocacy arena in Alaska.  ILC assists Alaskans of all ages and disabilities residing in the Gulf Coast Region of Alaska to live as independently as possible in the homes and communities of their choice. ILC is also and Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC), providing information, referral and options counseling regarding long term supports and services.  ILC has three offices located in Homer, Soldotna and Seward and provides outreach/itinerant services to communities in the Valdez/Cordova Census Area and Kodiak Island.

The Position: The Central Site Manager serves as a pivotal position providing office management, program facilitation and support and technical assistance for the seven staff working from the Soldotna and Seward offices.  The candidate should demonstrate the following abilities; well organized management, forward and big picture thinking, flexibility work independently and as part of a team. Duties will include supervision of 5-7 staff, organizing and training staff on agency policy and protocol, working with Executive Director regarding program development, grant writing and reporting, develop and maintain positive community relations, work with consumers and families to develop and meet independent living goals.  Exceptional relational skills are required, including clear and respectful communication, emotional maturity, sense of humor and passion for the work. Candidate must possess minimally a Bachelor’s degree with four years experience in management or supervision.  Candidate must be willing to travel using personal vehicle to Seward on a regular basis.

Salary, Benefits and Hours: This is a 40 hour/week job. Fringe benefits include an excellent health care plan, short and long-term disability policy, life insurance, 401K retirement plan, and access to affordable vision and dental policy. Including benefit package and experience employment package ranges from $50,000-$62,000. Priority will be given to qualified individual with a disability.
