Oh boy oh boy.  First off, celebrate Labor Day with friends and family on September 2, but THEN, start choosing the things you want to see and do at the first ever ALASKA WORLD ARTS FESTIVAL. Find out about all the events here: https://www.alaskaworldarts.org/uploads/1/1/0/0/ 110028995/5-2019_festival_guide-web.pdf.  Lots of events are free—like working on and then experiencing the Burning Basket.  Here’s how the festival is described on its website (click here): “100 events in 50 Homer locations from Sept. 6-19, 2-019 featuring dance, music, theater, film, literature, comedy and visual arts in the form of concerts, readings, exhibits, workshops, and misc. presentations. Featured artists/events include the Fab Four, Tom Bodett, and Quixotic…”  And it’s First Friday, so have fun strolling through the galleries.  Here's the calendar: weekly events August 31-September 7 (1).pdf
