It’s the height of summer (and the rain’s supposed to let up), so get ready to celebrate July 4th on Wednesday. Homer’s July 4 Parade comes marching out of Homer High School parking lot at 6 pm, joined this year by folks here for next weekend’s Scottish Highland Games. For more parade info, go to https://www.homeralaska.org/community-events.html. And here's the TRAILS calendar with lots more of this week's activities: weekly events June 30-July 7.pdf
The Highland Games kick off on Saturday, July 7, at 9 am at Karen Hornaday Park, but if you want to catch early preparations and get in shape, join TRAILS's own Risa Jackinsky's fun, free “Fitness with a View” class at the Hornaday Park Pavilion on Friday at 12:30.
For more info on the Highland Games, go to www.kachemakbayscottishclub.org.And if you're signed up for the TRAILS half-day halibut trip, don't forget that it's next Saturday, July 7. Call Tela, 399-9854, if you need details.
