The Independent Living Center provides services to Alaskans who experience significant vision loss or blindness. We can facilitate individualized evaluations through low vision clinics to recommend various low vision aids, orientation and mobility training, home and lighting modifications, and other resources to help you live more independently within your home. ILC staff can also demonstrate a variety of low vision aids and make recommendations to adapt and live successfully with vision loss. Each of our offices have a variety of assistive technology and equipment that can be borrowed or rented before purchasing your own.
